Meet Stephen Goldberg, one of the founding partners of MemoriesFX, a full service production facility specializing in corporate and personal video services. Recently, MemoriesFX was completing a project producing a corporate video for tradeshow and marketing use. The usual editor was consumed by another project so Goldberg, whose primary role is in sales and production (not editing), needed to step-in as the editor. This project needed to be completed and delivered to the client by the trade show date which was fast approaching.

Image Mapper, part of new Video Essentials III, makes it easy to superimpose images within your scene. We created this effect to quickly and efficiently superimpose a clip onto nearly any surface in your video while maintaining a realistic feel. In this edition of Tips & Techniques, Jeremy Rasnic shows you how to use Image Mapper to map a clip onto just about any surface in your video.
In last month’s Storyboard, we announced Video Essentials III, the latest installment in the Essentials product line. This collection grew out of the needs and desires of our customers, as well as the creative minds of our development team. We wanted to share with you the “behind the scenes” of how this product line came into fruition. Torley Wong, our creative product designer, shares his Video Essentials III story with us.
In the early phases of creating Video Essentials III, it became evident that there were several cohesive trends bonding the plugins. Each plugin was born because of a need— either for our own video projects or those of friends and customer requests — and that’s why they are in this collection. They’re practical: all killer, no filler.
