At fourteen he was consumed (maybe even obsessed) with recording family events using a VHS camera and a hip-mounted VCR and battery pack. On a nice summer day you wouldn’t find him outside playing, like other kids. Douglas was inside editing video footage - and today we have Plug Video Productions.

Ray Roman was a police officer for fifteen years and often wondered if there was something else out there that he could “build a passion for,” much like he did for his police work. One day he decided that he was going to simply transfer some old family video footage of his kids to DVD. He made a visit to a local electronics retail store to purchase an inexpensive transfer mechanism so that he could begin the conversion process.
