Did you know you can take your presets with you? If you create a great NewBlue Effect or Transition preset, you can copy it to other clips or even share it with the same NewBlue plugins on other NLEs (Windows or Mac.)

Here’s how:

Create your custom preset. You might choose an existing stock preset and then modify to get it just right or start from scratch.

Save the preset to a file. Click the Presets dropdown menu. This is either the "P" or "Presets" button, depending on your NLE.

Select "Save Preset As:" and choose the file. If you are sharing with a friend or sending to another computer, you might drop the preset in an email or shared network location, or copy it onto a removable storage device.

Go to the destination computer with the same NewBlueFX product installed. Open up your NLE, and apply the same effect or transition. Then open the Presets dropdown menu, again by clicking on the "P" or "Presets" button and choose "Open Preset:

Now, browse to your preset file, and open it. Done!

Did we mention that this also works between platforms? Now you don’t have to choose between Mac and PC. Use them both! You can share presets between all of our platforms, making NewBlueFX some of the most versatile effects available. You can also share your presets with your colleagues.
