Alastair Brown

Alastair Brown hails from Scotland in the UK and specializes in Wedding and Promotional Videos.

An early adopter of both filming and editing in HDV, Alastair has been a long-term Sony Vegas user. Through using Sony Vegas, Alastair became aware of NewBlueFX and says,

My current personal favorite is Color Fixer Plus from NewBlue Video Essentials. HD footage always tends to have what looks to be a grayish haze to it. I found that by using Color Fixer Plus, I was able to really add some ‘pop’ back into my footage. It genuinely has become the first plug in I reach for in 90% of my shots. Sure, there are absolutely other ways of doing this, but none as quick and efficient as Color Fixer.

In addition to making videos, Alastair is an inventor and entrepreneur. Frustrated by the high cost and complexity of shooting smooth tracking shots, Alastair created the Glidetrack, a low cost rail system. He makes and sells the Glidetrack system which features in some of his shots.
