LA JOLLA, CA, April 3, 2012 - Video effects innovator and technology developer NewBlue, Inc., today announced its GPU (graphics processing unit) effects collections are now available for EDIUS 6, the professional non-linear editing (NLE) software from Grass Valley.
Among the key features of GPU-accelerated plugins are faster render times, real-time playback, and improved central processing unit (CPU) performance. NewBlue said its developers performed speed tests that cited average render speeds up to 6X faster (with some render times as high as 60X faster) than regular NewBlue plugins.
The NewBlue GPU-plugins can be used inside of the EDIUS NLE as well as within the NewBlue Titler Pro plugin, which is also supported in EDIUS 6.

Prices for GPU-plugin collections range between $129.95 - $169.95 USD. Bundle options are available and start at $449.95 USD. The entire collection of NewBlue plugins including Titler Pro can be purchased for $999.95 USD.
