Question: I’ve had to reformat my computer but I forgot to “deactivate” the NewBlueFX serial numbers. Will I be able to install my plugins?

Answer: While deactivating and uninstalling NewBlueFX plugins before you reformat your computer is recommended, sometimes this isn’t possible. In the case that you are unable to deactivate your serials, you should still be ok. Simply reinstall your plugins by downloading the latest version from www.newbluefx.com/downloads, running the installer, and then activating using the same serial numbers. If you get a message that you have exceeded your installation limit, please file a Help Ticket so we can assist you.

If you’ve lost your serial numbers you can usually find the serial numbers by logging into our website and going to your profile screen. If you cannot find them there, please log into our website and file a Help Ticket. If the products were purchased through a third party reseller, you may need to contact that third party to retrieve the serial numbers.

If you are reinstalling plugins that came bundled with your software, you simply reinstall using your discs and the supplied serial numbers you received from the NLE manufacturer.

Question: I am not sure if your plugins will work with my video editor, how can I find out?

Answer: All our software is available to try before you buy from www.newbluefx.com/downloads. In trial mode, a watermark will appear which can be removed by activating with a purchased serial number. Plus, you can also check our compatibility chart on any product page or the main Video FX page.
