Festival De Cannes
Dates: May 13-24
Price: No tickets are sold for the “Palais des Festivals,” but “Cinéma de la Plage” is available to the public for FREE open-air screenings.
Celebrate film the international way at the 68th Festival De Cannes. As Thierry Frémaux put it, the Festival de Cannes “is a celebration of cinematographic art. We exist to showcase the new writing, new genres and new visual innovations of our time.” Film professionals gather each year, but that does not stop the general public from having fun. Seattle International Film Festival

Price: General Admission $12
Experience the Seattle International Film Festival’s films, workshops, forums, celebrities, and events from May 14 to June 7th. Start the festival off with the opening night gala after the screening of Spy. Spend the evening with celebrities, watch new indie films like End of the Tour or The Overnight or take part in dinner and movie events. Mendocino Film Festival

Head to the seaside town of Mendocino for a film festival focused on craft and community over event hype. Celebrating its 10th year, the Mendocino Film Festival, is renowned for its exhilarating shorts program and children’s film screenings. The festival goes beyond just film screenings, offering intimacy between director and audience. Enjoy Q&As, art exhibitions, musical performances, and a screening in a vineyard.
