You Wanted A Better Website...
You told us you wanted a better, more interactive, and easier-to-use website. We responded by rebuilding our entire site from the ground up. And while we’re still in beta (see orange bar at the top of the homepage for helpful FAQs), we’re adding new features and improving the site every day. To help you navigate the new features of the site, we’ve created this short blog post to serve as a guide (oh and we’ve got another video for you). Here we go!
Homepage and Search
The first thing you’ll notice on our new homepage is the video we’ve dedicated to you, the Video editor. To watch the video with sound, follow the link here.
Below the opening video, you’ll find the 6 product categories. Each category reveals an accompanying description to help you find what you need. Next, you’ll find the “featured products,” which showcase a particular plugin or product line.
And last but not least, we have the search bar. This little gem can be found at the top of the homepage (and every page) below “My Account.” This is a great way to find what you need, especially if you’re not familiar with our new line and need a solution for a specific problem.
For example, if you're working with green screen footage, you can simply search “green screen,” and our handy color keying plugin, “Chroma Key Pro,” will appear under your search results. From here, you can further explore the Chroma Key Pro features, watch the example video, as well as view all of the other plugins included in the parent collection.
At the heart of the new NewBlueFX.com is our product menu. We’ve organized our products into simple categories to help you find what you’re looking for quickly and easily. Under the menu you’ll find 6 categories of NewBlueFX products: Elements, Essentials, Filters, Stylizers, Titling and Transitions. In addition, you will also find the TotalFX bundle, the mother of all effects packages. It includes our entire suite of effects, transitions and titling tools in one convenient, all-inclusive package.
From the product menu, you’ll be directed to a NewBlueFX product category page. This page provides an overview of the category as well as a side-by-side comparison of the 3 product lines with feature counts, pricing, and more.
If you’re looking to compare the plugins within each product line just click on the plus sign, which unfolds the entire list of plugins included in each product. To view an example video of each plugin, click on the plugin name. It’s that easy.
If you’re looking for even more detail about each product line, simply click on the product name or the “learn more” button.
Once you’ve selected a product from the category page, you’ll be taken to the respective product overview page. Each product page features 5 main elements:
- Highlights & Features
- Trial Downloads
The overview page includes the overview video of the NewBluFX product, a video library of included plugins as well as the system requirements. This page will be your main source of information.
If you’re looking for additional information, navigate to the “Highlight & Features” section. Here you’ll find 4 product highlights as well as the full list of product features and a comparison chart of each product line.
However if you’re in the mood to learn, you’ll find a host of tutorials and user-generated content on the tutorials tab. The tutorials range from quick 60-second tutorials all the way to in-depth 10-minute step-by-step breakdowns.
If you still have questions about the product or the purchase process you’ll find all the answers under the FAQ tab. We’ve created this section using the questions we see come across our support team so they are relevant and accurate for your needs.
Lastly, if you want to try before you by we’ve got you covered. You can download a trial of the product in the Trial Downloads section. Remember that the trial does come with a watermark, well that is until you decide to purchase it of course.
That wraps up our walkthrough of the website. We hope you learned a lot and feel empowered to find the products or resources you need. Keep and eye out for the next blog post that will take a deeper dive into our product lines.
Oh and if you want to save your friend the agony of reading all of this, pass along this video for a visual tour of what we covered above..
Till next time. Happy editing!
